Gene Dlouhy Has'em Cheering At The Vagabond Motor Inn

What's New Babe
Autumn Leaves
Gene Dlouhy Has'em Cheering At The Vagabond Motor Inn
Dosco Productions - Regina Sask., Canada
1967

From the back cover: The personnel who make up this fine album: guitar, Cliff Beros, who sings up a storm on "Long Tall Texan"; Larry Curtis, piano and organ, like swing - like Larry Curtis!; Doug Norman, drums, who is the driving force behind the group; Reg Dlouhy, tenor sax and vocals – just too much. Gene moves from bass guitar to trumpet and vocal – wild! All the way a most exciting, entertaining album.

  1. Is there somewhere I can find a recording of Long Tall Texan with Cliff Beros singing?

  2. Believe it or not, I just picked up this album in a bulk purchase... I noticed it was signed on the back cover... by Gene Dlouhy... but in a bizarre twist... it's also signed "To Barry from ROY ORBISON! I've checked the Orbison signature against others on the web and it appears to be genuine. You just never know... ;-)

  3. Yes, it will be Orbison's signature - Gene Dlouhy is my uncle and Roy Orbison was their opening act, way back when he was just getting started! :-)
