The Dancing Tolmans and Johnny Brogans Anniversary Album

San Francisco Hustle
The Dancing Tolmans and Johnny Brogans Anniversary Album
Orchestra Directed by Johnny Brogan
Music Selected by Arthur H. Tolman Dancing Studios of Orange, Mass.
Recorded by Northwest Recording Studios of Holyoke, Mass.
Photography by Jack Horowitz, Springfield, Mass

From the back cover: Johnny Brogan – Twenty five years of musical success in the Pops – Dance field is a noteworthy achievement and that is just what Johnny Brogan has accomplished.

The Brogan Band's debut at the Wayside Inn, in 1952, produced a following in the greater Springfield Area the continues today, as then.

The ability to adapt to changing musical patterns of any given era demonstrates a very special talent, as he continues playing todays music with taste and style.

Johnny's Orchestra Members have been with him through the years, playing with equal dedication.

Johnny – at the piano, Gene Basile – Accordion, Ernie St. Jacques – Bass, George Cullian – Vocalist & Ronnie Pezda – Drums. Guest Musician for this recording – Al Almeida – Sax.

The Dancing Tolmans – Phyllis and Arthur Tolman, now celebrating their Silver Anniversary as Ballroom Dance Instructors, taught their first classes in Palmer and East Longmeadow, Mass. with several ensuing years of large and enthusiastic groups in that area.

Their reputation for excellence in their field brought invitations from communities through-out Western, Mass. New Hampshire and Vermont, often sponsored by P.T.A. Organization and other clubs.

School age students predominated during the early years while todays demands have grown by leaps and bound in the adult sector, with dinner dances an enjoyable outlet for the older set (Adult couples) to show their progress on the dance floor.

The Tolmans are continuously sought after to present their "Dances in Exhibition", with appearances at Art Shows, as Cruise Entertainment and innumerable performances at varied extravaganzas.

Birch Denny
Jewel Recording Company - Cincinnati, Ohio

1976

From the back cover: My name is Keith Kilbourn. I am not in the music business, I am involved in the Oil and Gas industry. However, I do have an ear for music and recognize outstanding talent when I hear it. A short time ago I walked into a cocktail lounge in Bakersfield, California during the Happy Hour. Unlike Happy Hours at other lounges throughout the city which are usually filled with people laughing, shouting and telling funny stories, this lounge was quiet as if I had walked into Sacred Symphony Hall in Boston. The reason: Birch Denny was singing "Danny Boy" and he had the audience completely captivated.

Eddie Herring Sings For You

Ebb Tide
Eddie Herring Sings For You
Mega-Sound Recording Studios, Inc. - Dayton, Ohio

From the back cover: Eddie Herring Sings For You is the first album by this talented young vocalist. The songs presented here are among the many requested every night by the happy patrons of Betty Greenwood's Cascades. When Betty, herself a mistress of night club aplomb, presents Eddie to her audience and his rich, full voice fills the room with "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing", a ripple of excitement is shared by all.

Eddie sings with deep feeling. His qualities of originality and sincerity produce a sophistication of song that belies his twenty-seven years.

Asked when he started singing, Eddie replies "It must have been 27 years ago". At the age of thirteen he organized his first vocal group, The Sultans, and entertained appreciative audiences on the local scene. His professional career was well launched when he joined The Domino in 1962. A tour to the Far East followed. In the Philippines, the Dominos sang with the Mitchel Boys Choir, and scored successes with audiences from Japan to Hawaii.
