Recorded Live At Barthel's Supper Club, Dalton, Illinois
Beautiful Sounds KY (record label)
Classic lounge. Al isn't an unknown. He had a show in the early days of TV on The Dumont Network. And he wrote the hit song, Jealous Heart. His nickname was "Flying Fingers".
The recording is poorly engineered and the sound is pretty awful. When Al chats with the audience funny little tidbits emerge. For instance he thanks the boys from the Moose Lodge (next door) for coming to see him and he thanks folks for staying over from the first show. Apparently he had difficulty filling the room for this recording.
