Once Again - Al Tell

Medley: It Ain't Necessarily So, Summertime
Once Again
Al Tell
Alpha Records - Oklahoma City
A-EL-100
1977

This is one tight lounge trio consisting of Al Tell - keyboards, Marvin Williams - bass and Kelly Cunningham - drums.

The group worked out of Oklahoma City and I found a mention of Tell in a 1956 copy of billboard mentioning his involvement on local TV. He was working on The Tome Paxton Show, a daily variety show featuring Emsee Paxton (presumably the band leader).

The Best Of Fred Thompson And The Guadalajara National Philharmonic

1977

From the back cover: This album is proof of what a very few can accomplish when they are of the same mind. From the very beginning, the experts, and the critics, said it could not be done. At times, it almost seemed that they might be right.
