Meet Barbara & Wendell

Summer Wine
Meet Barbara & Wendell
Cascade LP 101

From the back cover: Barbara and Wendell McKenzie are of the Talent group "The Husbands & Wife's" and at the release of this album are on a long term contract at Lee and Andy's Frontier Bar in Ketchikan, Alaska where they are doing an excellent job.

Barbara and Wendell are two fine and hard working people that like to entertain people and have put some of their most requested song on this Album and we are sure that if you will listen to them, then you will agree that this is a fine job, both as to the music and the vocals.

Barbara and Wendell teamed up with Gene and Pam Brown along with Danny Meyers on drums to form the group called the Husband's & Wife's. This is one of the finest Music and Vocal groups in The North West and I am sure that you will be hearing many good things from this group in the Future, and it has been my pleasure to work with them on this album. – Don Sneed, Sr.

"punky" ala clarinet

Shangri La
"punky" ala clarinet
Town House Productions - Minneapolis, Minnesota

From the back cover: Tripping these days generally refers to getting "high" on drugs. But Punky Caldwell, that clarinetist who dwarfs his instrument, herewith gives you a different kind of trip. You might call it "10 straight shots of nostalgia, without a tracer." And who needs one?

Punky is eminently qualified, having done gigs with the likes of Billy Eckstine, Elvis Presley and several other big bands.

And he conjured up some side men to aid and abet in the offering, like Dave Perterson, a solid Hammond man, who has become close to Punky through nearly seven years of work together.

Then there's Drummer Bill Watkins, who shared a Japanese tour with Punky at one time, and collectively has worked with him about 15 years.

The final member was Jack Haggerty on Bass, a graduate of such bands as Red Nicholas and Art Pepper.
